Mt. Hood Forest Products is located twelve miles south of Hood River, Oregon in the shadows of majestic Mt. Hood. The mill produces high quality Doug-fir 2X4 and 2X6 Green dimension lumber from the small, tight knotted, and fine textured logs in the Mt. Hood and Cascade Range area. The area is noted for some of the finest timberlands in the Pacific Northwest.
Two years of retooling and reconfiguring followed the purchase of the idled sawmill in the Hood River Valley. The mill is capable of producing over 60 million board feet of lumber annually on a one-shift basis. The same experienced sales staff that sells for High Cascade out of Carson, Washington sells production from Mt. Hood Forest Products. Mt. Hood ships by rail in Odell, Oregon on the Union Pacific.
