High Cascade is headquartered in Carson, Washington, in the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. The family owned and operated company has been in business for over 40 years.

Our mill in Carson is a state of the art sawmill, planing mill and kiln drying (KD) facility, specializing in high quality dimension lumber. We are located 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon, in the midst of the Cascade Range, one of the world’s finest tree growing regions. Annual production is over 100 million board feet with 50% in Doug-fir and 50% in White Fir dimension.

Working with customers to supply their needs and establishing and nurturing long term relationships are the cornerstones of our business. Our sales staff of Brad Buhman, Scott Griswold and Scott Cranfill have more than 80 years of combined experience in the lumber business. Susan York is our traffic and accounts specialist.

High Cascade ships by rail from our BNSF spur at Home Valley, Washington, on the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railway. Trucks ship from the sawmill/planer mill site at 2262 Wind River Highway, Carson, WA, 98610.

As farmers and ranchers, we have a strong understanding of crop management and grasp the importance of good harvesting procedures. As mill operators, we understand the importance of promoting and protecting the integrity of a renewable resource, timber. High Cascade supports and adheres to the toughest timber harvesting regulations in the nation with both the Oregon and Washington Forest Practices Act.
